Create the picture in Kid Pix.
Click on the Moving Truck tool on the left of the window.
Click on the Magnet in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
Use this tool (+) to draw a box around the picture by holding the mouse button down. Release the mouse button when the box is complete.
Press the command key down (located to the left of the spacebar with the apple and curly-Q) and press the C key. This copies the picture and places it on the clipboard. The clipboard is a temporary memory in the computer.
Quit out of Kid Pix.
Open up AppleWorks.
Open up a new or saved document.
Press the command key and the V key (Go to Edit and drag down to Paste). This will paste the picture in the document.
The picture will be selected (have the black bars around it) so you can move the picture or resize the picture.
Once you have moved it click outside of the picture to deselect it.
If you want to move it later, just click in the middle of the picture and the selected bars will reappear.
