Lewis & Clark Lessons |

The following lessons are to help students understand the history and development of our country. The acquisition of the Lousiana Territory by President Jefferson led to its exploration by Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery. The goals of the expedition were to map the rivers, make friends with natives, open the West to trade, and look for a Northwest Passage (an easy water route from coast to coast). |
